Effective and New Treatment for Kidney Failure

Various diseases such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension and other kidney diseases are progressing into Kidney Failure. What’s the most effective and newest treatment of kidney failure?
When kidneys can not work well, the millions of renal cells can be divided into three types, healthy cells, impaired cells and dead cells. If you want your kidneys to work as normal, you should make your failed cells work normally at first. The treatment that aims at delaying the progression of renal disease can not reach this goal. The most effective newest treatment should focus on refreshing impaired renal cells and reviving dead ones. In other words, treatment should turn all “bad cells” into healthy cells. All your renal cells work well and then your renal function will improve and your renal failure won’t recur almost.
How to turn “bad renal cell” into healthy renal cells?
As mentioned above, combination therapy is considered as the most effective newest treatment of kidney failure. Here associated treatment of Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy (natural treatment) and Immunotherapy is recommended.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is used to repair impaired renal cells. After external application, it can affect the renal lesion directly with its function of dilating blood vessels and eliminating inflammation. In this way, it can deliver enough oxygen and blood into renal lesion, thus brings essential survival conditions to impaired renal cells. With enough oxygen and blood, “bad” renal cells will be refreshed. Meantime, Micro-Chinese Medicine contains mineral substance that will speed up the “refreshing” process.
Immunotherapy is a holistic therapy used to repair the damaged kidney fucntion and regulate the immune system.
In a word, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy turns impaired renal cells into healthy ones; Immunotherapy can improve the renal function further. As a result, you can expect your kidneys to work well and almost no relapse in future. Mail to khkpcn@hotmail.com for further information.

Alternative Treatments For Kidney Failure Without Dialysis

Dialysis is most common treatment for Kidney Failure. However, for some patients, they prefer to waiting for the calls from heaven due to the realization of endless suffering from a worse life quality. In fact, any patients should not keep a negative thought, because there are other treatments for kidney failure without dialysis.
Why some one prefers to stop dialysis?
Dialysis can work as a renal filter to move out toxins and excess fluids, but it is not use of helping kidney to perform its functions again. Patients will get dialysis dependency, which leads to a low quality of life.
Your kidneys are used to filter blood and discharge toxins from body. If kidneys fail, toxic accumulations call generalized damages to human. To reverse kidney failure, treatment should aim at restore renal functions. Thus, kidney can run or approach normal working.
After years of application, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy may change the future for patients with kidney failure.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is an external application, that is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. All herbal medicines come from natural plants, such as corn silk, parsley, red clover etc, so you should not worry about medicine dependency. In most cases, renal damages result from insufficient blood and oxygen. Micro-Chinese Medicine can activate blood circulation, thus stimulates blood flow through kidneys. In this way, more oxygen and blood will be delivered to renal lesion and conditions like Ischemia and Anoxia will be relieved. As long as renal damages are remitted, renal functions will improve accordingly. Combines with Immunotherapy, kidney functions can get another improvement.
As long as patient’s renal functions improve, kidneys will recover to work gradually. If kidneys can perform its functions and remove waste by its own again, patient will go far away from dialysis eventually. More guidelines for Kidney Failure, you can mail me at khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Natural Treatments for Renal Failure

Any person who takes medicines for his or her Disease must recover twice, once from the disease itself and once from the medicine. This also goes to Renal Failure patients. Many medicines have side effects on your recovery from Renal Failure. Recently, more and more patients look for natural remedies for their renal recovery.
● Diet management. Keep low-salt and low-fat diet for your renal health. Foods which contain much salt will lead to the deterioration of Edema while foods with high-level of fat will increase the elevation of cholesterol. Replenish yourself with fresh vegetables and fruits.
● Fish oil. Fish oil is found to contain omega-3 which is believed to delay the progress of Renal Failure and help preventing the glomerular injury.
● Herbal Treatment. Herbal Medicines derive from the stem, root, leaf, fruit and seed of plants, so they contain no toxic materials for patients. Chinese Herbal Medicine has been used all over the word for more than two thousand years. Some of the special herbs or plants have characteristic in remedying Kidney Disease. Long-term use of Herbal Medicine is believed to improve renal functions.
● Dress properly for cold weather. Wear gloves, hats, scarves, sweaters and coats in winter months to keep warm. Use hand warmers in fairly cold condition, if necessary.
● Stop drinking and smoking. The two are also important inducements for the deterioration of Renal Failure. About half patients who has the history of drinking or smoking. If you are still drinker or smoker now, please quit them now. It is not a matter of lifestyle any more. It matters your renal disease will rapidly progress into Uremia or not.
● Exercise five or six days per week for about 30 mins. Avoid fierce or overstrain exercise. Do some aerobic exercise, such as walking, jogging, swimming, hiking etc. Alternate your routines in case of boredom.

If I Refuse Dialysis At Level 3 Kidney Failure

There are five levels in Kidney Failure. Level 3 indicates a moderate loss of Renal Function, occurs when GFR is 30 to 59 ml per minute. Usually, patients with Renal Failure need not to begin dialysis in Stage 3. In many cases, the correct treatment and lifestyle changes can improve renal functions in a large degree and reverse renal damages.
In level 3, Anemia, Fluid Retention, High Blood Pressure often develops rapidly and treatment alone that stops progress can not make great difference. In this situation, only the elevation of renal function can reverse renal injury.
In China, we recommend Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy for Renal Failure patients.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is an external application, which is applied on waist area. Medicine ingredients can permeate into kidneys and affect renal lesions directly. By dilating blood vessels and eliminating inflammation, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can lead sufficient blood and oxygen to damaged renal tissue so as to repair the impaired renal cells and improve their renal functions. Meantime, this therapy cleans the foreign bodies in renal area, so it provides a better internal environment and reduces restoring burdens. With the help of Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Immunotherapy will be used in the most effective manner.
Meantime, patients with Renal Failure of Stage 3 will be asked to change lifestyles for better and fast recovery. You need to manage an overall heath plan in diet, weight, exercise and mood etc. Talk with your doctors before you make any decisions about your plan.
According to Nephrologist, Stage 3 is a key period in treatment. Patients in this stage remains a certain level of renal functions, so early and correct treatment is expected to reverse renal injury or restore renal functions in a large degree, as well as delay or avoid dialysis. However, Renal Failure in stage 3 develops very fast. If effective treatment can not be taken, renal functions will fall down quickly and patients will become the candidate of dialysis shortly after. How to Protect the Kidney From Kidney Failure

Kidney Disease occurs when virus attack renal area and kidneys fail to filter toxins and excess water from blood. Over time, renal injury will spread and toxins will accumulate. Consequently, Kidney diseases will develop into Kidney Failure and become the candidate of End Stage of Kidney Disease. How to protect kidneys from Kidney Failure?
● Reduce side effects to the least. When you make decision in treatments, you should take side effects into consider. Long term use of some conventional medicines, especially hormones, will call for various side effects. Amongst them, some adverse effects can be handled with special care and correction. However, some of them is not reversed, which will come along with your forever. This will burden your kidneys for your rest of your life, especially those renal toxic drugs.
Natural remedies may provide the chance to avoid side effects. All natural medicines come from natural plants and herbs, such as corn silk, sophora flower, indigowoad root etc. Natural medicines avoid adverse effects effectively, but they always take effects slowly. So patients should keep the balance of the curative speed and side effects.
● Treat your Kidney Disease as soon as possible. Any patient who delays treatment has a higher risk of Renal Failure. The earlier you take medical measures, the greater possibility of developing into kidney failure. In many cases, their real injuries can be reversed at the early stage. Most patients who have already developed into renal failure fail to pay enough attention to recovery their diseases promptly.
● Avoid the relapse of your Kidney Disease. 95% of kidney diseases are related to autoimmune defect. Kidney Disease patients, especially children, present an abnormal immune system. Any infections or inflammations may trigger Kidney Disease recurrence. Patients should prevent themselves from cold, upper respiratory tract and other infections diseases.

Preventions of Renal Failure

Renal Failure preventions includes many aspects, such as prevention level, early prevention, announcements, prevention measures and plans etc.
I. Prevention level of Chronic Renal Failure.
Primary prevention: it refers to prevent primary renal disease (such as Glomerulus Nephritis) or potential disease (such as Hypertension, Diabetes) which may cause secondary renal injury to occur, so as to avoid Chronic Renal Failure.
II. Early prevention of Chronic Renal Failure.
1. Treat primary disease positively. Treating all kinds of acute or Chronic Glomerulus Nephritis, Lupus Nephritis, Purpura Nephritis or the diseases possibly damaging kidney (such as, Hypertention, Diabetes) avoids the occurrence of Chronic Renal Failure.
2. Avoid or eliminate some dangerous factors. Some poisonous drugs, serious infection, Dehydration, urinary tract obstruction (such as calculus, Prostate Hypertrophy), wound; all of those factors usually aggravates Kidney Disease and renal function, causing Renal Failure to occur. In fact, regular and high-quality examinations can decrease or avoid those factors, as well as prevent Kidney Disease.
3. Proper diet. The diet of low-protein, low-phosphorus and low-fat has been proved beneficial for renal function by laboratories and clinical cases. In order to prevent Chronic Renal Failure happening, protein should be limited in the condition that creatinine reaches 159.1uml/L.
4. Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor agent not only can control systematic blood pressure, but also can adjust glomerulus’ stage of hypertransfusion and high filtration, delaying Renal Failure. The common clinical drugs include captopril, Los DingXin and so on.
III. Attentions for Chronic Renal Failure Prevention.
1. Due to strong compensatory function and dull sensory nerve for pain, even though kidney has already been damaged, some important indicators still are neglected, which misses timely treatment. Therefore, inappetence, Headache, Insomnia, Spasm, Dropsy, Hypertension, Anemia, Haemorrhage, any of those symptoms is founded, please go to hospital to check up. Remember: find early and treat timely.
2. Following doctor’s advice, patients should keep a proper diet, which should complement nutrition reasonably and never overload kidney.
3. Keep regular health examinations. Never be too frightened to see doctor. Believe in science and keep a confidence. Namely, all discomforts should let doctor know. Only in this way, doctor can easily make an exact diagnosis and master treatment direction, as well as put forward a better treatment plans.
4. Take drugs with caution. Take drugs under the direction of doctor and never abuse folk prescriptions blindly.
IV. The prevention measures and plans for Chronic Renal Failure.
1. Control the symptoms of Chronic Renal Failure and improve life quality.
a. Aim at recovering and improving renal function.
b. Treat primary diseases and correct the reversible factors.
c. Eliminate Azotemia and the deposition of toxins
d. Reverse metabolic acidosis and Electrolyte metabolic disorder.
e. Control Hypertension using hemopoietin and active vitamin D3.
2. Early prevention for Chronic or end stage of Renal Disease.
a. Combine Chinese medicine and western medicine to treat disease.
b. Find early, treat timely and develop patient group education and socialization education.
d. Diet measures.
f. Proper physical activity.
g. Improve life style.
h. Financial support.
i. Improve community living environment
j. Improve the work of psychological-sociology.
Chronic Renal Failure prevention includes many aspects. Only achieving more prevent knowledge can Chronic Renal Failure be prevented, decreasing the damages to health.

Do Kidney Failure Mean Die

In the world, some patients are not clear about the Kidney Failure, when they are diagnosed as Kidney Failure, they think the death is waving his hand to them, is it right? The answer is obviously wrong. There are many diseases can develop into the Kidney Failure, such as the Glomerulonephritis, PKD(Polycystic Kidney Disease), IgA, Diabetic Nephropathy, hypertensive nephropathy etc. So when the patients are in the early stage of these diseases, they should find good and useful treatment to control the development of illness condition.
Kidney Failure is the end stage of Kidney Disease, the whole body is in the bad situation, almost all the patients in this stage receive the dialysis. In kidneys, there are four main functions: 1. discharge the waste product from the human body.2. Absorb the useful substance from the initial urine and blood. 3. Secrete the EPO to produce the red blood. 4. Secrete the special substance to maintain the balance of blood pressure. At present, dialysis only can achieve the first function, the last three function can’t be achieved by dialysis. So the patient still need other treatment to maintain the dynamic equilibrium of human body.
However, that is not to say the Kidney Failure means the patient will die. As long as the patient has urine, which means his kidneys still working, so he has more chance to enhance his kidney function and reverse his disease, avoid the Kidney Transplant.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy
Micro-Chinese Medicine is abstracted from the Chinese herbs, without any side-effect. This is the oldest traditional medicines in our country, like acupuncture. 2) All kidney disease is caused by the renal fibrosis, which means the blood can’t flow in the vessels. Chinese Medicine can dilate blood vessels, increase the blood flow volume in the renal lesion. 3) Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is not an operation, without any pain. Chinese Medicine is superfinely shattered like powder, they are putted into small bags and heated for 45 minutes, and then we put these small bags on the two sides of kidneys according to the Acupuncture Points. What’s more, this process can be achieved with the help of osmosis device, so Chinese Medicine can get into renal lesion effectively. 4) The effective substance can repair the damaged renal cells, and clear the immune complex in the human body. After adopting Chinese Medicine for 3-5 days, the urine color can be changed obviously. (That is immune complex discharge into urine). 5) Chinese Medicine has the function of anti-coagulation, anti-inflammatory,prevent thrombus, degradation.

How to Prevent Chronic Renal Failure (CRF)

As a progressive kidney disease, Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) can result in significant morbidity and mortality due to the progressive and slow impairment of kidney function. The impairment usually takes months or years to occur. With the deterioration of kidneys, patients have great risk of End Stage Renal Failure (ESRF). In this case, you have to receive frequent dialysis or kidney transplant to sustain life. Therefore, for those with kidney disease, it is of great importance to take the following effective precautions so as to avoid further deterioration of your condition.
Regular examinations should be done in hospital so as to detect the potential risk factors of CRF as early as possible. In most of the cases, Diabetes and high blood pressure are the two most causes of this disease. For those who have a family history, you are also more at risk of CRF. Once you are diagnosed with these risks, you had better receive prompt treatment so as to prevent CRF in the very beginning.
A low-protein diet can help you protect your kidneys, because too much protein intake may impose more burdens on kidneys. Except for the protein needed for the body, there is no need to take in too much protein. In addition, people had better eat less food rich in fat, since high fat food can easily cause high blood pressure and vascular sclerosis which can result in kidney damage.
Maintain a healthy weight through doing regular exercises and reduce the number of calories you eat. In addition, physical activity such as walking, lawn mowing, bike riding, swimming or gentle aerobics are suitable for you to stay fit.
Avoid using of nephrotoxic drugs. Due to the delayed discharge of drugs, easily depositing of medication in the blood and tissue may cause kidney damage, thus aggravating the disease.
Besides, you should stop smoking and drink alcohol in moderation. If you are suffering from other medical condition, it is available to contact us by email khkpcn@hotmail.com and take treatment for these conditions.

How Long can People with End Stage Kidney Disease Live

At End Stage Kidney Disease, the patients' kidneys are damaged seriously and less than 15% of their renal function is reserved. Therefore, nearly all patients with End Stage Kidney Disease patients are very concerned about their life expectancy.
As for the life expectancy of End Stage Kidney Disease, there is no a definite answer to this question because it is mainly influenced by various kinds of factors including their disease conditions, treatment methods.
Disease condition
Although many patients have End Stage Kidney Disease, their life expectancy may vary greatly. Some patients with End Stage Renal Disease may not have obvious symptoms and keep the body indexes very well. For this part of patients, if they can receive proper treatment in time, it is very possible for them to live a normal live as other healthy people. However, some patients may have serious complications like hypertension, high blood sugar, heart disease and so on. These complications can shorten the life expectancy of the patients with End Stage Kidney Disease. Therefore, the patients with kidney disease should not ignore the importance of the prevention of complications.
Treatment methods
Dialysis and Kidney Transplant are commonly used by the patients with End Stage Kidney Disease. It can not be denied that those two methods play an important role in prolonging the life expectancy of End Stage Kidney Disease patients. However, both of them have many side effects on the patients. In terms of dialysis, it can only replace a portion of the kidney functions and help discharge some metabolic wastes out of body. But dialysis does not have secretion function so it can not secrete some hormones like hemopoietin. Therefore, even if the patients undergo dialysis, their renal function still keeps declining gradually. As more and more people are diagnosed with kidney disease, the sources of kidneys are rare. As a result, many patients with End Stage Kidney Disease lose their life in their wait for Kidney Transplant. What’s more, even if they receive Kidney Transplant successfully, they have to deal with rejection reaction. In some cases, their transplanted kidneys may fail in a short time.
Therefore, in order to prolong the life expectancy of End Stage Kidney Disease, the patients need to treat their disease from the root cause. In the terminal stage of Kidney Disease, most of the glomeruli responsible for filtrating blood are necrotic. Therefore, the key to improve the patients life quality and prolong their life expectancy, they should receive treatments that can repair their renal intrinsic cells. Once the renal function is improved greatly, the life expectancy of End Stage Kidney Disease will certainly prolong.
Therefore, if the patients with End Stage Kidney Disease receive treatment as early as possible and prevent its complications, they will be able to live a normal life as others.

Why Do You Feel Nausea with Kidney Failure

Many patients with Kidney Failure often feel nausea, especially in the morning. Why it happens? How to resolve this problem?
Kidneys are important organs in our body responsible for filtering blood and they can discharge the metabolic products and excessive fluid out of body. However, in Kidney Failure, the kidneys fail their normal filtration function. Consequently, a lot of wastes like creatinine, urea nitrogen and so on will accumulate in body. Nausea in Kidney Failure is related to the increased blood urea nitrogen.
Nausea is a manifestation of digestive system disturbance. The severity of nausea varies with different disease conditions. Clinically, the nausea is particularly severe in the morning.
As mentioned above, increased urine nitrogen is an important cause of nausea in Kidney Failure. When the blood urea nitrogen level increases, the urea in intestinal tract is decomposed into ammonia with the help of bacterium. Then the ammonia will irritate the intestinal mucosa thus leading to nausea. Therefore, the higher the urea nitrogen is, the more serious the nausea will be.
Moreover, for the patients with Kidney Failure, their urine concentrating ability decreases so they have increased urine at night. As they lose much moisture at night, their blood will be concentrated. Therefore, the blood urea nitrogen will rise relatively so their nausea will aggravates in the morning.
Therefore, the patients with Kidney Failure should keep sufficient water supplement in the morning so as to avoid blood concentration and keep the blood urea nitrogen level stable. In this way, they will be able to alleviate nausea to some extent.
If you want to know more measures for eliminating nausea, you can email to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Can Lowering Blood Sugar Reverse ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease)

Diabetic Nephropathy is also called Diabetic Glomerulosclerosis and is a common complication of Diabetes. Left untreated or treated ineffectively, Diabetic Nephropathy will develop into End Stage Renal Failure. Poor control of blood sugar is the main cause of Diabetic Nephropathy. Therefore, many patients ask: can lowering blood pressure sugar reverse ESRD?
In order to make clear the answer to the above question, let’s see why Diabetes can lead to renal injury. Diabetes is not a single disease, but a systemic microangiopathy. If the patients with Diabetes have a poor control of blood sugar, it will lead to sugar metabolic disturbance, renal haemodynamics change the incrassation of glomerular basilar membrane and glomerulosclerosis. Once Diabetes develops clinical Diabetic Nephropathy, the renal function will decline persistently and finally develop into End Stage Renal Failure. For the patients with ESRD caused by Diabetes, their kidneys have been damaged seriously, so lowering blood sugar can not reverse ESRD at all, but it can slow down the disease progression to some extent. In order to reverse ESRD, the patients should restore the damaged glomeruli so as to improve the renal function. Glomeruli are composed of renal intrinsic cells including epithelial cells, endothelial cells and mesangial cells. The key to repair the damaged glomeruli is to restore the renal intrinsic cells. Here Immunotherapy is suggested to the patients with ESRD due to Diabetic Nephropathy.
Immunotherapy is different from Kidney Transplant. In the treatment of ESRD, Immunotherapy can restore the damaged glomeruli so their renal function will improve greatly and their ESRD will be reversed in some cases.
Therefore, lowering blood sugar simply can not reverse ESRD at all. If you or your loved ones are Diabetes patients and want to know more about the preventive measures against Diabetic Nephropathy, please email to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

The Common Misdiagnoses of Renal Failure

Once someone's kidneys are seriously damaged, there will be some clinical symptoms occur, such as complications of digestive system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, Nerve-muscle system, respiratory system and so on. However, above-mentioned symptoms maybe not occur together, it varies from person to person. We can see that the symptoms of renal failure are similar with other kinds of diseases. That’s why renal failure is relatively easy to be misdiagnosed.
Here we will introduce and analyze some Common Misdiagnoses of Renal Failure, we hope it will be helpful for all the patients.
I When patients feel thirsty and urinate much during night, it is easy to be misdiagnosed as Diabetes Mellitus or hypertension;
II Many renal failure patients will suffer with nausea, vomiting and abdominal discomfort, which can be misdiagnosed as gastrointestinal diseases. It may cause further damage on kidneys when taking wrong medicines, especially some medicines with renal toxicity;
III As for some patients with history of high blood pressure, renal failure can also be misdiagnosed as hypertension;
IV Renal anemia, in china, the treatment method for people who have anemia is blood transfusion, because some doctors think that the main reason of anemia is undernutrition. However, anemia can be caused by many diseases, and Renal anemia is a common manifestation of chronic renal failure. It is also an important dangerous factor that promotes the progressing of chronic renal failure. So if the doctor do not consider about the other symptoms of patients or analyze patients’ illness condition carefully, renal anemia maybe easily misdiagnosed.
The above-mentioned are some common misdiagnoses of kidney, when diagnosing, general doctors should also consider about the kidney disease if there are multi-symptoms. Otherwise, the valuable treatment time for renal failure patients will be missed.

Renal Failure: Choosing a Treatment That's Right for You

Without effective treatment in the early stage, patients with some kinds of kidney diseases (such as glomerulonephritis, Polycystic Kidney Disease, IgA Nephropathy, Diabetic Nephropathy, etc) will develop into Renal Failure, which is the end stage of kidney disease. Meantime, you may suffer from complications like renal function damage, high creatinine, increasing blood urea nitrogen and so on. The appropriate treatment of this time should focus on controlling complications positively, making disease stable, and protect the remaining healthy renal unit. Reading the following information is a good way to learn about your options so you can make an informed choice.
Dialysis
It is a form of treatment which can remove excess waste and fluid from your body when your kidneys are unable to perform the task normally. Dialysis can help you maintain life by way of discharging the metabolic wastes and extra fluid. It can also alleviate some symptoms. However, it can not cure your kidney disease. Once you started dialysis, you can not get rid of it for the rest of your life. It can also lead to many side effects like hypotension, a large loss of nutrition, severe infections and heart disease, etc. The average cost of dialysis is over 70 thousand dollars for one year. Undergoing the dialysis, you will suffer from both pain and heavy economic burden.
Kidney transplant
A kidney transplant is surgery to place a healthy kidney into a person with kidney failure. Your doctor may recommend a kidney transplant if you have end-stage kidney disease. Before the procedure, you will be evaluated by the transplant team to make sure that you are a good candidate for the operation. Tests like tissue and blood typing, blood tests, heart tests, etc should be done. The risks of kidney transplant include problems breathing, restrictions to medication of anesthesia, bleeding and infection of surgery, blood clots, heart attack, and wound infections. After the procedure, you still need to have regular check-ups with blood tests and x-rays for many years.
Chinese Herb Medicine
Abstracted from the Chinese herbs, Micro-Chinese Medicine has no any side effect. All kinds of kidney diseases are caused by the renal fibrosis, which means the blood cannot flow in the vessels. Therefore, the core of the treatment for Renal Failure is to block the aggravating chain of renal fibrosis.
By crushing the medicine molecule to fine grain, it can make the active ingredient super-finely shattered into powder and packaged in a sack. Then put the sack in the special penetrant for around 2 hours and then be heated for 1 hour or so. Then patients just need to lie in bed with two sacks attached to the lesion regions. An osmosis device is used to connect with the sacks in order to promote medicine permeation by vibration indirectly controlled by electron pulse. In this way, the medicines can reach the renal lesions, which can repair the damaged renal cells and clear the immune complex in your body. In this way, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can effectively treat Renal Failure.
Developing kidney failure means you have to make decisions about your treatment. Your choice of treatment will have a big impact on your day-to-day lifestyle. You are the only one who can decide what means most to you. With the help of your health care team, family members, and friends, you can lead a full, active life. Inducements of Kidney Failure in Young Adults

Healthy kidneys can filter excess fluid, minerals and other waste products through urine. They can also regulate the electrolytes and the levels of fluid in the body. Furthermore, the kidneys produce hormones that control other body functions such as blood pressure, bone maintenance, and the production of red blood cells. When the nephrons are damaged, the kidneys can not function properly, thus causing the build up of fluids and waste in the blood stream. This is called kidney failure. Then what arethe inducements of kidney failure in young adults?
Inducement one: Polycystic Kidney Disease
Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) refers to a genetic disorder of renal cyst formation, which is characterized by the appearance of numerous small cysts in bilateral kidneys. There are two kinds of PKD which are called autosomal recessive and autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. The latter is common in both children and adults, but it most often presents in young adults. Without early detection and prompt treatment, patients may deteriorate into kidney failure stage finally.
Inducement two: IgA Nephropathy
IgA Nephropathy refers to the deposition of IgA immune complex in the glomeruli, which takes hematuria or proteinuria as the first sign. However, the disease may go unnoticed due to it often stays asymptomatic for many years. Berger’s disease can occur in people of all ages but is prone to young adults. The disease may take several years to progress to end-stage kidney failure, so early treatment of IgA Nephropathy becomes the critical point to protect your kidneys.
Inducement three: anti-glomerular basement membrane disease
It is a rare but severe condition that results in glomerulonephritis, or acute or chronic inflammatory gloneruli. The disease affects mostly young men but also occurs in women, children and older people. Patients with this disease may progress to end-stage kidney failure rapidly, so early detection and treatment is of great importance.
The above are three inducements of kidney failure. Patients must not neglect these inducements and receive prompt treatment to prevent your disease from progress into Renal Failure.

Is There a Cure for Renal Failure

The clinical symptoms of Renal Failure are not obvious, and this disease is very easy to relate to many organs and tissues. When patients present one kinds of the clinical symptoms or characters, they are very easy to misdiagnose.
3. At present, dialysis only can achieve the first function, the last three function can't be achieved by dialysis. So the patient still need other treatment to maintain the dynamic equilibrium of human body.
Immunotherapy is an effective treatment for Acute Kidney Failure and Chronic Kidney Failure. On the one hand, it can repair the damaged renal cells; block the process of renal fibrosis; and reduce serum creatinine. On the other hand, Immunotherapy can maximum repair complications, such as Renal Hypertension, Renal Edema etc, also reduce the indexes of protein and occult blood, even turn negative, prolong the time interval of dialysis, even get rid of dialysis, regulate and control the protopathy.

Pathophysiology of Chronic Renal Failure

Chronic Renal Failure refers to the progressive deterioration of renal function. With the disease progression, the patients will present a series of symptoms like anemia, vomiting, fatigue and so on. The pathophysiology of Chronic Renal Failure is as follows:
At first, as the renal function declines, the patients only show few abnormalities because the kidneys’ compensatory capacity, the residual nephrons will increase their performance. When more than 75% of the renal tissues are damaged, the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) will decline to only 50% of the normal level.
With the renal function decreases, the renal function is interfered. The kidneys lose their function in keeping the fluid and electrolyte balance in body. Moreover, the concentration of urine ability declines leading to increased urination at night, which is followed by the decline in the secretion of phosphate and acid and potassium. When glomerular filtration rate (GFR) decreases (GFR≤ 10 mL/min/1.73 m2), the urine volume will reduces drastically and the patients even may experience anuria.
As the compensatory ability of kidneys, the creatinine and BUN levels do not elevate at the beginning of Kidney Disease. When GFR declines by 50%, the creatinine level will begin to rise. When the GFR declines below 10 mL/min/1.73 m2, M, the levels of creatinine and BUN increase along with the appearances of complications like anemia, vomiting, nausea and so on.
For the GFR diminishing, the water and sodium balance is disturbed, which is followed by hypervolemia. In severe case, heart failure may occur due to sodium and water overload.
Anemia is a characteristic in Chronic Renal Failure due to the decreased secretion of erythrogenin by kidneys. Also vomiting, nausea and poor appetite also contribute to the anemia.
Moreover, due to hyperparathyroidism, calcitriol deficiency and increased serum phosphate as well as lower serum Ca, it will cause increased bone turnover thus leading to renal osteodystrophy.
The above article has introduced the pathophysiology of Chronic Renal Failure and it can provide useful information for you. Any question? Email me at khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Better Treatment than Kidney Transplant for Renal Failure

Kidney Transplant is the primary option for the patients with Renal Failure. However, the patients have to encounter many problems like insufficiency kidney source, blood match, financial issues and so on, which may delay their treatment thus leading to unimaginable result. In recent years, with the medicine development, it is possible for the patients with Renal Failure have a better choice than Kidney Transplant.
In China, we combine our traditional Chinese medicine with the most advanced regenerative medicine technology and introduce the joint application of Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy into the treatment of Renal Failure.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmothrapy is one of characteristic therapy in our hospital. It has a new development based on absorbing the advantages of traditional Chinese medicines and getting rid of its disadvantages. The main integrants in Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is natural herbs so they do not have any side effects to the patients. Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is an external application and the superfinely shattered medicines can be permeated into kidney lesions directly with the help of penetrate and osmosis devices. Afterwards, they can dilate renal blood vessels, provide micronutrients for repairing the damaged intrinsic renal cells, degrade extracellular matrix and so on. Therefore, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can create a favorable environment.
Immunotherapy
With Immunotherapy, the patients with Renal Failure can achieve the goal of improving their kidney function in a certain degree. Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is the basic treatment, which provides a favorable internal environment for the application of Immunotherapy. The perfect combination of the two therapies has brought new hope for the patients with Renal Failure.

How to Treat Renal Failure with Immunotherapy

For people with Renal Failure, the kidneys are damaged and fail to function normally. Immunotherapy is the newest therapy for Renal Failure, which can treat kidney diseases through regulating the immune system, repairing kidney damages and restoring renal function.
What causes Renal Failure?
There are a number of known causes of Renal Failure. The commonest causes include Diabetes, high blood pressure and glomerular nephritis. There is a progressive loss of nephrons in the kidney. Other common causes are Polycistic Kidney Disease, repeated kidney infections or kidney infections (pyelonephritis) in children and obstruction to the urine flow.
Immunotherapy for Renal Failure
Through combining the advantages of Chinese medicine and western medicine, immunotherapy comes into being as the best therapy for Renal Failure and other immune defect kidney diseases.
After patients arrive at our hospital, we will make a systemic examination of your illness condition, which contributes to making a personalized plan for you. Since more than 95% of kidney diseases are related to immune dysfunction, so immunotherapy can be applied to treat immune mediated kidney diseases.
As we all know, the root cause of Renal Failure is the immune complex deposits in the kidneys, so if we eliminate them completely and recover the renal function, you can get rid of your disease. Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can help us remove the immune complex effectively with function of anti-coagulation, anti-inflammation, preventing thrombus and degradation. Other than an operation, it is an external application without any pain. After adopting Chinese medicine, the damaged renal cells are repaired and the immune complex in the human body can be cleared effectively.
Micro-Chinese Medicine can supply a good environment for rebuilding the normal kidney structure. If you have any questions about Renal Failure or immunotherapy, feel free to leave a message below or send an e-mail to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Do We Need to Remove the Kidneys When They Shut Down

Do We Need to Remove the Kidneys When They Shut Down
When kidneys shut down, many patients think that we should remove the kidneys. Maybe in some circumstances, they need removing. However, it is not recommended to remove the shut down kidneys. Instead, the patients should receive effective treatment to recover the normal function of the shut down kidneys.
In the past, restoring the shut down kidneys is a daydream. However, with the development of the modern medicines technology, it makes the dream come true. The new breakthrough-Immunotherapy brings new hope to the patients with Kidney Disease.
In the treatment of shut down kidneys, Immunotherapy aims at improving the renal function greatly and even recover normal function.
Therefore, when kidneys shut down, the patients should not consider removing them firstly. What they should firstly do is to choose an effective treatment to prevent the further kidney function decline and then improve the renal function gradually. Any questions?

What Is the Life Span of Patients with Renal Failure

Renal Failure is a medical condition, in which the kidneys fail to filter blood and discharge wastes products normally. It will certainly affect the patients’ life span. However, there is no a fast and absolute answer to the question. It is mainly associated with the following factors:
1. Residual renal function
We all know that if a person donates a kidney to others, he still can still normally. It means that if the patients can keep renal function above 50%, they still have the chance of living a normal life. Therefore, in the early stage of Renal Failure, the patients should take proper treatment as early as possible to preserve the residual renal function.
2. Complications of Renal Failure
In most cases, the patients may die of the complications of Renal Failure before the kidneys fail completely.
Heart failure is primary death cause of Renal Failure. On one hand, since the kidneys can not filter out the potassium, it will cause heart to beat irregularly. On the other hand, the kidneys can not produce as much as urine as before. As a result, excess fluid will build up in body. The heart can not keep up with the increased blood volume. Also the fluid may collect in lung, which can cause ischemia in brain and heart.
Besides heart failure, the other common death causes mainly include infections, massive haemorrhage etc.
If the patients can take preventive measures to prevent cardiovascular complications, infections and correct haemorrhage, it will prolong the life span of the patients with Renal Failure.
3. Therapy
Therapy plays the primary role in extending the patients’ life span. If they can take proper treatment to improve renal function, they will be able to live as long as the common people.
However, dialysis or medicines can not help the patients achieve the goal at all.
Renal Failure is attributable to necrosis and impairment of kidney tissues. If the kidney tissues can be restored very well, the kidneys will be able to function normally. Therefore, the patients with Renal Failure will enjoy a normal life span as common people.

Hyperkalemia and Nausea in Renal Failure

Hyperkalemia and nause are commonly seen complications of Renal Failure. So, why patients suffer from these problems and how to deal with them?
Hyperkalemia
Hyperkalemia is a condition in which the potassium level in blood is very high. The healthy kidneys can maintain levels of potassium in blood. However, in Renal Failure, the potassium can not be excreted effectively thus resulting in high level in blood. As potassium helps heart and other muscle and never cells function properly. If its level is too high in blood, the patients are at high risk of developing heart failure.
The patients can take the following measures to reduce the incidence of hyperkalemia effectively.
1. Avoid eating foods rich in high potassium such as bananas, lentils, nuts, peaches, potatoes, tomatoes, watermelon.
2. If the urine output does not decline, the patients should drink more water. Dehydration can make hyperkalemia worse.
3. Avoid using blanked blood. If blood has been preserved for more than one week, the serum potassium can reach 16 mmol/L.
Nausea
Nausea is a manifestation of digestive system disturbance in Renal Failure. It is particularly severe in the morning.
As kidneys are damaged, a lot of urea nitrogen will build up in blood. Afterwards, the urea in intestinal tract will be decomposed into ammonia. As a result, the ammonia will irritate interstitial tract thus causing in nausea. As the body may lose much moisture at night, it will cause increased blood concentration so the urea nitrogen level is relatively high at night. That is why the nausea is particularly severe in the morning.
To relieve nausea in Renal Failure, if the patients do not have swelling, reduced urination, they should have more water in the morning. It can dilute blood concentration and lower the urea nitrogen level relatively. Therefore, it will be able to relieve the symptom effectively.
Besides the above two problems, many patients with Renal Failure may suffer from heart failure, anemia etc. If you want to know the relative preventive measures, it is free for you to leave a message below or send an e-mail to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

What Is the Life Expectancy (Life Span) of People with ESRD

There is no a generalized life expectancy for people with End Stage Renal Failure (ESRD). How long the persons can survive depends on many factors.
As the kidneys can not function normally, it will cause problems to the systems of the whole body. Many patients may die of its complications before the kidneys fail completely.
Heart failure is a very common death cause of Renal Failure. The kidneys can not work well, it will cause much fluid to build up in body. In severe case, the vascular system will be flooded with fluid and the heart will not be able to keep up with the increased blood volume. Moreover, potassium concentration will increase for poor excretory function of kidneys. The high potassium will reduce affect contractility cardiac muscle thus causing irregular heart beat.
The kidneys can not filter out of the urea nitrogen and many other metabolic products. The patients with ESRD are at high risk of suffering brain disease, respiratory system diseases, hematological diseases etc.
Under this condition, conventionally, the patients will have to require dialysis to survive. However, the patients should know that dialysis is just like a filter which can only filter out a partial harmful substance from body, but can not improve renal function at all. In other word, the patients’ renal function still keeps declining during dialysis. That is why the dialysis intervals will become shorter and shorter over time.
In order to avoid such bad results, the patients with ESRD should take proper remedy to stop the disease progression and improve their residual renal function. Although it is hard to recover the normal renal function just as common people, it is possible to for them to avoid dialysis and live a high-quality life.
The remedy the patients with ESRD choose is the decisive factor for their own life expectancy. The earlier they take treatment, the better prognosis will be achieved. For more information, leave a message below or send an e-mail to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

How to Manage Acute Kidney Injury

Acute Kidney Injury refers to renal function decline in a short time, several days and even hours. The patients are usually companied by reduced urination, accumulation of urea and substances containing nitrogen, metabolism disorder etc. So, how to manage Acute Kidney Injury and minimize the damage to kidneys?
As Acute Renal Injury results in different conditions and diseases, the patients should firstly find out the underlying cause.
1. If Acute Kidney Injury is caused by reduced renal blood flow or slow blood flow to the kidneys, the intravenous injection of fluid is typically adopted to improver renal function.
2. If it results from urinary tract obstruction, relief of the obstruction can be helpful in reversing the disease.
3. Irrational use of medications and or taking some nephrotoxic drugs can lead to Acute Kidney Injury. The patients should avoid taking those medicines again.
4. Diuretic agents can relieve the fluid overload thus reducing damage to kidneys and other organs.
5. Dialysis is usually recommended to the patients with Acute Kidney Injury.
The above are the general management measures for Acute Kidney Injury. However, those measures only can relieve symptoms, but can not improve renal function at all. Therefore, a proportion of patients will never regain full renal function, thus having End Stage Renal Failure requiring lifelong dialysis or kidney transplant.
To improve the prognosis and reverse the disease completely, the therapy the patients choose should focus on recovering the normal renal function. Besides the above measures, the patients should take an effective therapy to restore the impaired kidneys and discharge the metabolic wastes.
In China, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is applied to treat Acute Kidney Injury.
On one hand, the effective medicines can dilate blood vessels and improve blood circulation. In this way, it can improve the excretory ability of the kidneys thus relieving strain on kidneys.
On the other hand, the integrants can regulate the autoimmune process and recover the self-healing ability of the body. Meanwhile, they can provide some effective integrants for self-repairing of the impaired nephrons.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is effective and safe in treating Acute Kidney Injury. If you want to know more about it, leave a message below or send an e-mail to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Can Dialysis Cure Renal Failure

Can Dialysis Cure Renal Failure
Dialysis is a major replacement for End Stage Renal Failure. Dialysis can not cure Renal Failure, but in certain cases it may reverse this condition and retrieve the normal kidney function.
Renal Failure includes Acute Renal Failure and Chronic Renal Failure. Acute Renal Failure refers to the renal function declines suddenly and rapidly in several days and even hours for underlying diseases such as massive haemorrhage, severe infection, dehydration, severe trauma etc. Dialysis can be used to treat Acute Renal Failure until normal kidney function is restored. In this case, Renal Failure is reversible.
Chronic Renal Failure is a progressively developing over years. This type of Renal Failure is usually permanent, and the patients are required to start dialysis when renal function declines to 10~15%. In this case, dialysis is most likely to a long-term treatment and cannot reverse Renal Failure if the patients do not take proper and timely treatment.
Is there any alternative therapy to improve renal function in Chronic Renal Failure?
Renal Failure is attributable to the necrosis and damage of kidney tissues and cells. Therefore, the therapy should focus on restoring the impaired kidney tissues and cells.
Immunotherapy has showed remarkable curative effects in restoring impaired tissues and organs. it improves the curative effects of the disease significantly.
If you want to learn more information about this therapy, it is free for you to leave a message below or send an e-mail to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Are You at Risk of Developing Renal Failure

Renal Failure is a situation in which the kidneys malfunction, leading to a series of symptoms like elevated creatinine, reduced GFR, hematuria, anemia etc. Early inspection and timely treatment can improve the prognosis of Renal Failure and make patients free of dialysis or kidney transplant. So, it is essential for people to know if they are at risk of developing Renal Failure.
High-risk groups of Renal Failure
Diabetes
Diabetes is the most common cause of Renal Failure, accounting for 44% of new cases. Kidney damage is usually seen among people with more than 10 years history of Diabetes. In stage 1 and 2 Diabetic Kidney Disease, the kidney damage can be reversed completely. However, most of people do not know they have kidney damage until they begin to have noticeable symptoms. In that condition, the disease has at least developed into stage 3 of Diabetic Kidney Disease.
High blood pressure
High blood pressure is the secondary cause of Renal Failure. Kidney Disease caused by high blood pressure usually occurs people between age 40~50 with more than 5 years' disease history. As renal tubule is involved firstly, increased nighttime urination is the first sign of Hypertensive Nephropathy.
Genetic Kidney Diseases
ADPKD( Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease) is the most common genetic kidney disease. If one of parents have the disease, every child( both girl and boy) has 50% chance of developing the disease. If both of parents have the disease, the heritability will increase to 75%. It is reported that more than half of people with ADPKD develop Renal Failure by age 60.
Besides ADPKD, genetic Nephritis and congenital Nephrotic Syndrome are also common causes for Renal Failure.
Risk factors for Renal Failure
Abuse of medicines
Long-term abuse of medicines like painkillers, antibotics, herbal medicines etc can cause damage to renal interstitium. Left untreated, it will cause Renal Failure finally.
Infection, especially urinary tract infection
Infection is a risk factor for Renal Failure. The infection in other body parts can enter the kidney by blood circulation and cause inflammatory response in kidneys.
The above article has listed the high-risk groups of Renal Failure and the risk factors for the condition. If your condition is not included in the above, you can leave a message below or send an e-mail to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Can SLE Lead to End Stage Renal Failure

SLE is an autoimmune disorder, in which the body's immune system attacks various systems and organs in body including lung, skin, heart and kidney etc, among which the kidneys are especially vulnerable for people with SLE. People who are diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis are at high of developing End Stage Renal Failure.
How does SLE affect the kidneys?
In healthy condition, when foreign substances known as antigens invade into body, the immune system will produce antibodies to fight against bacteria and other infections. Afterwards, antigens and antibodies will form immune complexes and finally filtered out of body by kidneys. However, with SLE, the antibodies are no longer to tell the difference between harmful foreign substances and the body's own healthy tissues and cells. As a result, the antibodies and antigens combine with each other and form immune complexes in blood. The immune complexes will enter into kidneys through blood circulation. To remove the foreign substances, the body initiates an inflammatory response which can impair the glomeruli. If uncontrolled, the inflammation in kidneys will cause more and more damage to kidneys and gradually lead to kidney fibrosis. Finally, the glomeruli will become sclerotic and the kidneys can not function adequately and End Stage Renal Failure occurs.
How to treat End Stage Renal Failure due to SLE?
The therapy should focus on two points: regulate immune process and restore impaired the impaired kidney tissues and cells.
The combination therapy of the Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy is adopted to treat End Stage Renal Failure caused by SLE and has showed up dramatic curative effects. The renal function will have remarkable improvement. It will help people avoid dialysis or reduce frequency for those who have started dialysis.

How to Treat Kidney Atrophy in End Stage Renal Failure

Kidney atrophy is mainly attributable to the following causes:
1. Each kidney is composed of one million nephrons which are the functional units in kidneys. Kidney Disease, urinary tract infection or any conditions that impact the nephron function in a negative manner could cause kidney atrophy.
2. Renal ischemia also can give rise to atrophic kidneys. For inadequate blood supply, the kidneys can not get sufficient nutrients and oxgen, which has an adverse effect on renal function.
Therefore, to reverse kidney damage, the primary goal is to improve blood supply and restore the impaired nephrons.
Here Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is recommended to patients with atrophic kidney in End Stage renal failure. It improves renal function and increase blood supply to kidneys based on the following curative effects.
Firstly, the active substances in Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can dilate blood vessels and dissolve thrombus. Therefore, it will improve blood circulation significantly and increase blood supply to kidneys.
Secondly, the improved blood circulation can promote the secretion of metabolic wastes like urea, creatinine, accumulated fluid in body. Hence, it can reduce the strain on kidneys.
Thirdly, Chinese herbal medicines are rich in nutrients like minerals, trace elements, amino acid etc. These nutrients can stimulate the self-repairing of the impaired nephrons.
Fourthly, the active substances can activate the replication of DNA of injured kidney tissues, promoting the regeneration of new kidney tissues.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy treat kidney atrophy based on its specific causes. Therefore, it can provide the patients with End Stage Renal Failure a better therapeutic effect.

Can Renal Failure Patients Eat Watermelon

Can the patients in Renal Failure eat watermelon? They are suggested to eat it sparingly.
High potassium
Healthy kidneys keep serum potassium levels between 3.5 and 5 mmol/L. The normal potassium level can conduct nerve impulse. If the serum potassium level is too high in Renal Failure, it can cause abnormal nerve impulse, giving rise to irregular heartbeats.
Rich in fluid
In Renal Failure, the impaired kidneys can not excrete fluid adequately, thus resulting in fluid building up in body. Therefore, most of the patients often experience serious swelling. In severe case, even lung, abdominal cavity and everywhere is flooded with fluid, which can cause difficult breath, gastrointestinal problems etc. As watermelon is abundant of fluid, it can aggravate swelling. Therefore, Renal Failure patients with Renal Failure should reduce and even avoid eating it.
Besides foods high in fluid and potassium, the following foods are also forbidden to the patients with Renal Failure.
1. They should limit the amount of salt in what they drink and eat. This is the most important thing to reduce swelling. Restrict salt intake to less than 2 grams a day.
2. They should restrict the protein intake. In Renal Failure, many patients are accompanied by heavy protein in urine. High protein foods can do much damage to filtering system in kidney, thus aggravating proteinuria.
3. The diseased kidneys fail to excrete minerals from body adequately, thus resulting in high phosphorus in body. Too high phosphorus in serum can stimulate parathyroid glands to produce more parathyroid hormone, finally leading to renal osteopathia and hyperparathyroidism.
The above are the general dietary principles for the patients in Renal Failure. As the mineral levels and kidney damage degrees vary in different stages, it is important for the patients to make different diet regimes based on their medical results.

Diet for End Stage Renal Failure on Dialysis

In End Stage Renal Failure, dialysis is required to sustain life. As the patients may loss a mass of nutrients and minerals during dialysis, a proper diet is quite essential for them.
Non-dialysis patients should keep a low-protein diet and reduce daily protein intake to 0.6 g/kg per body weight. The patients lose a large amount of protein during dialysis, so they should increase the protein intake. The recommended protein intake for people on hemodialysis is 1~1.2 g/kg per body weight and peritoneal dialysis is 1.2~1.5 g/kg. They should increase the animal protein and reduce vegetable protein intake for it is abundant of phosphorus.
Dialysis is not effective in eliminating phosphorus. If its level is high in blood, the patients are susceptible to develop itchy itch. The patients are recommended not to have organ meats.
The patients on dialysis do not have restriction on fruits, especially in peritoneal dialysis. As dialysis can remove the potassium in blood, the patients are suggested to have certain amount of fruits rich in potassium like oranges. However, for the patients on dialysis who have no urine, they should limit the potassium intake strictly.
As for the intake of water and salt, the patients on hemodialysis should limit the water intake and reduce daily salt intake less than 1 g in the non-dialysis days. If the patients on hemodialysis still keep normal urine output, it is not necessary for them to limit water and salt intake.
For most of people with End Stage Renal Failure, the blood calcium is low, they are recommended to keep enough supply of vitamin D and calcium. Additionally, they should have ample supply of vitamin B1,B2 and folic acid to relieve anemia.

Home Remedies for Kidney Failure in Women

Is there any good home remedies for Kidney Failure in women? In fact, sometimes, it is not so hard to improve your renal function. These home remedies may help you.
1. Change your diet
A heathy diet plays a very important role in home remedies for Renal Failure. The malfunctioned kidneys are not capable of filtering the metabolic products from what you eat. It is very important to pay more care to what you eat. If you do not start dialysis yet, there are more requirements on your diet. You are recommended to have less than 2 grams salt intake per day and daily protein consumption reduces to 0.6 g/kg per body weight. Furthermore, foods high in potassium and phosphorus are not allowed. If you are on dialysis, you should increase your protein intake properly and keep 1.2g/kg per body weight on hemodialysis and 1.2~1.3 g/kg per body weight on peritoneal dialysis. Additionally, you should no longer have so restrict limitation on the intake of foods high in potassium.
2. Sunshine
Healthy kidneys can activate vitamin D which is important to maintain bond health and regulate the levels of phosphorus and calcium. Declined vitamin D level in body can result in bone diseases in women with Renal Failure. You are recommended to spend 15 mins a day under the light of sun. However, if you are Lupus Nephritis, you are not permitted to do it for ultraviolet rays can cause activity of lupus and deteriorate renal function.
3. Exercise
Exercise brings many benefits to women with Renal Failure. It is helpful in lowering the levels of blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol. Additionally, it can reduce fluid retention and strengthen bone as well as enhance immune system. You should choose exercise with moderate intensity and aerobic exercises like jogging, swimming, walking, bicycling, etc.
4. Quit drinking alcohol
Drinking alcohol may kill you. Alcohol not only can cause side impact on your kidneys, but also can damage your blood vessels and aggravate high blood pressure which is an important factor in accelerating renal function decline.
5. Herbal medicine
Herbal medicines are rich in nutrients. If they are used properly, they are beneficial in improving renal function and relieving discomforts of Renal Failure. For example, Lei Gong Teng can prevent the formation of cysts in Polycystic Kidney Disease(PKD). But you never should take herbal medicine without professional guidance.
The above are some easy and effective home remedies for Renal Failure in women. Hope they are helpful for your condition.

Renal Failure:Be Alert to Congestive Heart Failure

Congestive Heart Failure is a common complication in Renal Failure and it is also a major death cause for the patients. Therefore, it is extremely important for the patients to take precautions to prevent it in advance.
Congestive Heart Failure is mainly attributed to the following factors:
* The malfunctioned kidneys loss their function in eliminating extra fluid, waste materials and electrolytes. As a result, dangerous levels of potassium build up in body, thus resulting in hyperkalemia. Potassium is in charge of maintaining muscular function. High potassium level can affect cardiac muscular function, leading to arrhythmia and Congestive Heart Failure.
* Due to building up of fluid in body, it can put load on blood vessels, resulting in high blood pressure. It is a major factor in causing Congestive Heart Failure in Chronic Renal Failure. Also, increased blood volume has a direct influence on heart.
* Infection is commonly seen among people with Chronic Renal Failure due to weak immunity. Especially, respiratory tract infection is a common cause in inducing heart failure.
* Insufficient carnitine insufficiency plays a vital role in Congestive Heart Failure. Carnitine is essential factor in the metabolism of free fatty acid and it can improve the exercise tolerance of heart. Lower level of carnitine in body can affect the normal heart function.
* Additionally, calcium- phosphate metabolic disorder, malfunction, hyperparathyroidism also essential factors in causing heart disease for people with Renal Failure.
Dialysis can reduce the incidence of Congestive Heart Failure, but it is still the major death cause for the patients on dialysis.
Besides heart disease, the patients with Renal Failure should also watch out for infections and stroke. In a follow-up study, the statistical data shows that the three leading causes of death in End Stage Renal Failure are cardiovascular disease, serious, and stroke. The death rate of patients with Renal Failure due to heart disease is 20 times that of the general population. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in patients under long-term dialysis.
To reduce the death rate in Renal Failure, the patients should take effective precautions to prevent the above three dangerous factors.

How to Improve Prognosis of End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)

Generally speaking, the prognosis of End Stage Renal Failure is poor. However, if the persons can take proper treatment as early as possible, they will be able to improve the prognosis of End Stage Renal Failure enormously.
Based on some statistics, 76,584 people undergoing End Stage Renal Disease treatment died each year in the US 2001, in which about 30% died of its complications like heart failure, coronary heart failure etc. Therefore, to improve the prognosis of End Stage Renal Disease, the persons should restore the impaired kidneys and control the complications simultaneously.
In End Stage Renal Disease, a large amount of metabolic toxins build up in body, which will cause damage to multiple body systems like hematologic system, nerve system, musculoskeletal system etc. If these complications can not be controlled effectively, they can aggravate the disease progression and deterioration of renal function. Therefore, the patients should take treatments to relieving these complications like correcting anemia, controlling high blood pressure, lowering blood phosphorus level etc by taking medicines and changing daily diet.
However, as the metabolic products in blood and impaired renal function are the underlying causes of the complications. Therefore, they should clear up the toxins in body and restore the renal function primarily.
Dialysis is a common method to removing metabolic products, but it can only clear away the micromolecule substances. The left moderate molecular and micromolecule harmful will continuously impair the kidneys and other systems.
In order to clear up the metabolic wastes completely and restore the impaired renal function, the combination therapy Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy is suggested to the patients with End Stage Renal Disease.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can dilate systemic blood vessels so as to increase blood and nutrients supply to kidneys. It can delay the renal fibrosis and renal function decline. Also the nutrients can stimulate the self-repairing of the impaired renal functional cells and tissues.
Moreover, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can degrade immune complexes and extracellular matrix and make them dissolve in blood. Finally, they will be excreted out of body in urine. Therefore, it can create a favorable environment for repairing the damaged kidneys.
Immunotherapy plays the major role in restoring impaired kidneys. Once the kidneys are repaired very well, the renal function will be able to improve greatly. In this way, the prognosis of End Stage Renal Disease will improve dramatically.
However, in some cases of End Stage Renal Disease, the therapies are not available to them. If you want to know if you are a lucky man, you can leave a message below or send an e-mail to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Why Patients with Chronic Renal Failure Have Skin Itching (Pruritus)

Skin itching (pruritus) is a common symptoms in the advanced stage of Chronic Renal Failure. It can cause a lasting torment to them and decline their life quality greatly. Why the patients with Chronic Renal Failure have skin itching (pruritus) and how to deal with it?
In Chronic Renal Failure, with the decline in renal function, more and more metabolic toxins will accumulate in body. These toxins not only can damage the kidneys, but also can impair the other body system. When the skin is involved, the patients will have skin itching (pruritus).
In Chronic Renal Failure, the patients have water and electrolytes disturbance. As a result, the urea nitrogen and sweat deposit in the skin resulting in skin itching (pruritus). Also, the patients with Chronic Renal Failure may have secondary hyperparathyroidism, in which the calcium deposits in the skin. It can lead to intractablerefractory skin itching (pruritus) even dialysis may not relieve this symptom.
In addition, the metabolic toxins may cause sweat gland and sebaceous gland to wither. As a result, the metabolic toxins accumulate in the skin resulting in skin itching (pruritus). In severe case, the toxins concentration is high in blood. As a result, the toxins will be discharged out from the skin which also can irritate the skin. In addition, the dry skin is also a common cause of skin itching (pruritus) in Chronic Renal Failure.
For the patients with skin itching (pruritus), they can take the following measures to relieve the symptom.
1. The patients with Chronic Renal Failure should clean their skin with warm water and keep it clear.
2. Antihistaminics have effect in relieving skin itching (pruritus).
3. In the early stage of Chronic Renal Failure, the patients should take effective treatment to prevent the decline in renal function.
If you have skin itching (pruritus) or other complications of Chronic Renal Failure and want to get to know how to deal with it, you can leave a message below or send an e-mail to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Life Expectancy of Stage 5 Kidney Failure on Dialysis

Dialysis is still a main replacement therapy for the patients with stage 5 Kidney Failure at present. However, it can not improve the renal function at all. During dialysis, the renal function still keeps declining. Moreover, the patients have to deal with a series of complications during dialysis. For such many unpredictable factors in dialysis, the patients with stage 5 Kidney Failure are very worry about their life expectancy so much.
In fact, dialysis only can take a part of the function of the native kidneys. It can clear up the macromolecular and moderate molecular metabolic toxins. However, the micromolecule toxins still remain in the blood which can cause further damage to residual kidneys. Moreover, dialysis does not have secretion or regulation functions as the native kidneys. If the dialysis machine is performed improperly, the patients are very susceptible to develop blood pressure fluctuation, vascular disease etc. In severe case, the complication may cause the sudden death for the patients on dialysis. In rare case, the patients can live as long as 10 years and even longer on dialysis. Therefore, it is impossible to predict the life expectancy of the patients with stage 5 Kidney Failure on dialysis.
To extend the life expectancy of the patient with stage 5 Kidney Failure on dialysis, they should take effective treatment to improve the function of their native kidneys.
Of course, it is difficult to recover the normal renal function completely. However, if their renal function can increase to 15 and higher, it is quite possible for them to extend the dialysis intervals and even get rid of dialysis. If their native kidneys can finish the work of filtering blood and discharging metabolic products, the patients will certainly be able to live a normal life. In that case, the life expectancy of the patients with stage 5 Renal Failure will be extended enormously.

Causes of Swelling Face and Leg in Chronic Renal Failure

Swelling is a common manifestation in Chronic Renal Failure. In the early stage, it mainly occurs in loose body part such as leg and face. Therefore, if you have swelling in face and leg for no clear reason, you should pay more attention to the problem.
Causes of Swelling Face and Leg in Chronic Renal Failure
The kidneys are responsible for discharging excess water and metabolic products in body. In Chronic Renal Failure, the kidneys are impaired seriously, which can cause the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) to decline, but the renal tubular function still remains normal. As a result, extra and sodium can not excreted and build up in body. Also the patients are often accompanied by the increased permeability of the systemic capillaries. The water will penetrate into tissues spaces resulting in swelling. As the tissues in face and leg are looser, the swelling usually occurs in those parts. This kind of swelling is common in Chronic Renal Failure caused by Nephritis.
In addition, as the glomeruli are damaged, they can not prevent the protein leakage into urine. Hence, the protein in blood decline greatly resulting in decreasing of plasma oncotic pressure. As a result, fluid in blood will penetrate into subcutaneous tissue.
If the patients with Chronic Renal Failure have swelling in face, leg or other body parts, they should take proper measures to relieving the problem. If uncontrolled, the swelling will spread and even cause ascites, hydrothorax etc. They not only can cause burden to kidneys, but also can cause breath difficulty and affect hearts.
For the patients with serious swelling, they should restrict the water and sodium consumption and use diuretic as well as limit protein intake. However, these are only assistant methods in relieving swelling. As the underlying cause of swelling is the kidney damage, they should restore the kidney structure firstly to improve the renal function.
If you have swelling in face or leg or other body parts for no clear reason, you can leave a message below or send an e-mail to khkpcn@hotmail.com. Our experts will give you a clear reply based on your illness condition.

How to Correct Renal Dysfunction

If the renal dysfunction is not corrected as early as possible, the patients will be very likely to develop Renal Failure and have to receive dialysis or kidney transplant to extend their life. Therefore, it is very important for the patients to take effective measures to correct the renal dysfunction.
To correct renal dysfunction, the patients with Kidney Disease should receive proper treatment and prevent complications as well as change daily diet.
In renal dysfunction, as a mass of metabolic products such as creatinine, urea nitrogen etc accumulates in blood. They can cause damage to kidneys ceaselessly. Therefore, it is very urgent and necessary for the patients with renal dysfunction to take relevant treatment to remove the metabolic products out of body. Moreover, if the kidneys are damaged severely and a large part of nephrons are necrotic, they should receive replace the dead cells with new ones.
Most of the patients with renal dysfunction are often accompanied by a series of complications like anemia, high blood pressure, swelling etc. They should take treatments like increasing taking medications for lowering blood pressure, using diuretic etc to relieve the symptoms. If the complications are controlled well, it can reduce the burden to kidneys and other body systems thus creating a favorable condition for restoring the impaired kidneys.
In addition, the patients with renal dysfunction should adjust their daily diet properly. They should reduce the consumption of protein, sodium, phosphorus in their daily diet. If the patients have severe swelling, they should also limit the fluid intake in their daily diet. They should increase the intake of fruits and vegetables rich in fibre, but they should avoid the foods with high phosphorus like banana, oranges etc.

Treatment for Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in China

In stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease, the patients have advanced kidney damage and the GFR declines to 15~30 ml/min. If the disease remains uncontrolled, they will need dialysis or Kidney Transplant in the near future. Therefore, it is very important to receive proper treatment to stop further decline and even improve renal function to some extent.
In stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease, most of the patients have developed a series of symptoms and complications such as fatigue, poor appetite, kidney pain, swelling, high blood pressure etc. The general methods for the patients with stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease is to relieve symptoms by changing daily diet, taking medicines etc. However, these measures can not reverse the renal function at all. With more and more metabolic products build up in body, the patients will have to start dialysis. Then how to improve renal function in stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease and prevent the disease from developing into more severe case? Here the joint application of Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy is recommended to the patients with stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can dilate blood vessels so as to improve the renal blood flow and relieve renal ischemia and anoxia. Also the effective ingredients in Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy have anti-inflammation, anticoagulation, degradation effects etc. Therefore, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can clear up the inflammatory factors, blood clots and immune complexes and increase the excretion of the metabolic products like creatinine, BUN etc. Therefore, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can create a clear and aerobic environment for the restore of kidney function.
Immunotherapy is a systemic therapy with aims to improve the kidney function and regulate the overall immune system. After the above systemic treatment, the renal function can improve greatly. Therefore, it is quite possible for the patients with stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease to avoid dialysis and kidney transplant.
After reading the above article, if you want to know more detailed information about the therapy, you can leave a message in the below or email to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Kidney Failure: Life Expectancy of Patients with 15% Kidney Function

What is the life expectancy for Kidney Failure patients with 15% renal function (belongs to stage 4)? In this stage, the kidneys are damaged severely and the patients usually are accompanied by many complications. The enormous renal injury and complications will certainly affect the persons' life expectancy.
However, if they can reverse the renal function and control the complications effectively, they will be able to extend their life expectancy and live as long as the normal people.
In stage 4 of Chronic  Kidney Failure, a lot of metabolic products and excess fluid build up in body which can affect generally body systems such as skin, hematologic system, nerve system etc. To relieve these complications, the patients should receive treatment to clear up these wastes out of body. Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can achieve this therapeutic goal.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can dilate blood vessels and degrade the immune complexes and extracellular matrix. Therefore, it can improve blood circulation and blood supply to kidneys thus improving the excretion of metabolic products by kidneys. Also, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy also creates a favorable environment for restoring the damaged kidneys and improving renal function.
In stage 4 of Chronic  Kidney Failure along with 15% renal function, the patients' kidneys have been impaired extensively and most of the renal functional cells have been necrotic or sclerotic. For this part of obsolete renal functional cells, the patients should take Immunotherapy to restore them. If the kidneys are restored very well, their function will be improved greatly. In this way, the patients' life expectancy will be extended greatly.
Is there still anything unclear? Leave a message in the below please or Email me to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

What is the Prognosis of End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)

Generally speaking, the prognosis of End Stage Renal Failure is poor(ESRD). However, if the persons can take proper treatment as early as possible, they will be able to improve the prognosis of End Stage Renal Failure(ESRD) enormously.
Based on some statistics, 76,584 people undergoing End Stage Renal Disease(ESRD) treatment died each year in the US 2001, in which about 30% died of its complications like heart failure, coronary heart failure etc. Therefore, to improve the prognosis of End Stage Renal Disease(ESRD), the persons should restore the impaired kidneys and control the complications simultaneously.
In End Stage Renal Disease(ESRD), a large amount of metabolic toxins build up in body, which will cause damage to multiple body systems like hematologic system, nerve system, musculoskeletal system etc.
If you want to know if you are a lucky man, you can leave a message below or email me to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Can People with Chronic Renal Failure Get Pregnant

Can the patients with Chronic Renal Failure get pregnant and what precautions they can take? If pregnancy-induced hypertension syndromes show up in the very early stage of pregnancy, pregnancy suspension should be taken as early as possible. The reason is that even you continue the pregnancy, it would be too hard for the fetus to survive, and meanwhile, pregnancy has a good chance to worsen the condition. For those patients with Chronic Renal Failure, following a regular check-up and thoughtful care for the pregnant women would be the best choice.
Generally speaking, patients with Chronic Renal Failure should keep an eye on the following conditions:
A. Those patients who have an increasing hypertension
Patients with increasing high blood pressure, higher than 150/100mm Hg, should not to conceive, because it can be easily complicated with complications such as heart failure, stillbirth fetus or postpartum hemorrhage etc.
B. Those who have suffered from a moderate renal damage.
If your serum creatinine is 123-265μmol/L, pregnancy would aggravate your condition or your remaining kidney function for the time being. When the condition developed to a severe degree and serum creatinine higher than 265μmol/L together with urea nitrogen more than 11mmol/L, on this occasion, we strongly recommend not conceiving at this time.
But pregnancy can be realized as some conditions being met. So there are still chances for patients with Chronic Renal Failure with a thoughtful care. Here are some tips for pregnant patients with Chronic Renal Failure: pay more attention to their daily lives. Healthy diets should be taken, enough nutrition be guaranteed; add sufficient vitamins to body-building, and avoid infections at the same time. Stay warm, precaution flu and avoid the urinary tract infection also help a lot. For more information, send an email to khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Renal Failure should Say No to High Potassium Foods

Potassium, one of the electrolytes, is important to human body. Most people can take sufficient potassium from their daily diets while others who suffer from Renal Failure may need to guard against taking too much potassium.
Before I explain the reason, let's take a few minutes to look at Renal Failure. Renal Failure describes a serious condition affecting the kidneys. People who suffer from Renal Failure can no longer metabolize properly which leads to an accumulation of wastes and fluids as well as electrolytes in human body. Hence, electrolyte disorders lead to the occurrence of hyperkalemia. Hyperkalemia can damage human body or even life-threatening. That's why patients with Renal Failure had better not take potassium-restricted diets.
Whether to increase or decrease your potassium levels, you need to know what kinds of foods meet your needs in the first place. According to Duke University Medical Center and the American Kidney Foundation, foods have been divided into 3 main categories: low, moderate and high potassium foods. This survey helps us a lot to tell what kinds of foods should or should not be eaten for patients with Renal Failure.
High potassium foods including:
All meats, poultry and fish are high in potassium.
Avocado, banana, cantaloupe, honeydew, Kiwi, orange or orange juice, prunes, apricots and peaches.
Milk, nuts, Lima beans, lentils, potatoes, spinach, tomatoes, winter squash, caraway, celery, asparagus lettuce, rape and mushroom etc.
Purple seaweed and kelp etc.
Low potassium foods which are safe for Renal Failure patients including:
Black berries, blueberries, grapes, tangerines, canned pears, peaches and plums;
Asparagus, green or waxed beans, corn, cauliflower, cucumbers, water chestnuts, iceberg lettuce, fresh pineapple, and summer squash.
Juices such as apple, cranberry, lemonade, grape, and fruit-flavored drinks are okay
Diet plays vital role in Renal Failure treatment. Although there can be so many inconvenient at first, after all, it worth your shot to precaution, slow down the progression and live a better life. More information, Email me: khkpcn@hotmail.com.

Improper Use of Aristolochia Can Lead to Kidney Failure

Aristolochia is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine and has been used since ancient times. However, it is reported that many people developed Kidney Failure for improper use of aristolochia.
Kidneys are the cleaner in human body and they can excrete the metabolic toxins by filtering blood and producing urine. In aristolochia, it contains a component aristolochic acid which has renal toxicity. If aristolochia is used improperly or used for a long time, the toxins will build up in body resulting in renal and liver injury.
According some researches, the metabolite of aristolochia acid bind to DNA (aristolactam (AL)-DNA adducts) in kidney cortex of the patients with Kidney Failure caused by aristolochia. These adducts, formed by the reaction of aristolochic acid and DNA. Afterwards, the kidneys arouse an inflammatory response to clear up adducts from body. As a result, the inflammation will impair the kidneys gradually. If the inflammation can not be corrected as early as possible, it will cause renal injury persistently and finally develop Kidney Failure.
However, if aristolochia is used properly together with other Chinese medicines like liquorice to dissolve the toxicity, it has a favorable effect on people.
In Chinese medicine, the different components of a formula interact and influence each other and they undergo a synergy which can guarantee the safety of the medicines. Therefore, the persons should be not buy Chinese medicine without prescription by professional doctors.
If you are a suffer with Kidney Failure caused by aristolochia, you can leave a message in the below for treatment or Email me: khkpcn@hotmail.com.

What should Parents Do If Their Children have Chronic Renal Failure

Chronic Renal Failure describes a progressive loss of renal function over a few months or years, which can result in a permanent renal failure. Those who suffer from renal failure, adults and children alike, would probably experience plenty of complications such as fatigue, weak bones, nausea, vomiting, confusion, inability to concentrate and sleep problems etc.
Children with Chronic Renal Failure may not have any symptoms until more than 80% of their renal functions have been lost. That's why precautions become the first factor of concern.
For children suffering from Chronic Renal Failure, monitoring clinical data (which includes body inspection and blood pressure) along with laboratory test are necessary.
Lab tests include tests in hemachrome, electrolytes, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine assay, calcium and phosphorus levels and alkaline phosphatase activity. Checking parathyroid endocrine level and bone X-ray picture regularly so that osteodystrophy can be detected in early stage. Chest X-ray can and echocardiogram can help understand cardiac condition. Examining seralbumin, zinc, converted iron, folic acid and iron levels to monitor the children's nutritional quality.
Treatments focus on Chronic Renal Failure in children:
1. Diet
Nausea, vomiting and poor appetite can appear when urea nitrogen higher than 30mmol/L (80mg/dl). It may relieve by reducing protein intake. Children with Chronic Renal Failure still need a certain amount of protein used for their growth, so they should take high quality protein foods such as milk or chicken. But the milk should not be taken too much due to its high phosphorus, instead of taking glucose and other foods to supply caloric. Water-soluble vitamin deficiency may occur and should be replenished as inadequate intake or loss by dialysis. Liposoluble vitamins for example A, E, K need not to replenish.
2. Dealing with water and electrolytes
Most of the children with Chronic Renal Failure can maintain their Na balance through proper diet. Acidosis appears almost in all the children with Chronic Renal Failure, normally, requires no treatment.
3. Renal osteodystrophy
Renal osteodystrophy occurs together with hyperphospheremia, hypocalcemia, increased parathyroid endocrine levels and rising serum alkaline phosphatase activity. aluminium intoxication should also be noticed and monitor serum aluminum levels regularly.
Early detection is important in Chronic Renal Failure. Otherwise, renal damages can be inevitable, and the condition develops to end-stage renal failure (ESRF) just a matter of time. To those who have already developed to ESRF or suffering from serious conditions, dialysis or renal transplantation becomes another options. Snake Bite-Induced Acute Renal Failure

Snake bite-induced Acute Renal Failure occurs frequently in tropic areas, such as Saudi Arabia etc. Approximately 5 million cases of snake bite or scorpion sting etc. occurred all around the world; around 100,000 deaths result from animal venom in every single year.
Animal toxin is a complex of protein, peptides, enzyme together with some other chemical substances. Animal toxins cause cell damages through a variety of mechanisms in human body. As a metabolic organ rich in massive blood vessels, Kidneys get involved extremely easy. That's why animal toxins such as snake bite can easily trigger Acute Renal Failure. How does snake toxin work in human body?
▪ Direct toxicity. Enzyme (especially phospholipase A2 and proteases) works on epicyte and cause cell damage. Phospholipase A2 (catalyzed hydrolysis of phosphoric acid glycerides) can be divided into 3 categories according to its chemical structure:
1. Snake venom which is secreted by cobra family or hydrophis.
2. Snake venom which is secreted by viperidae or crotalidae.
3. Present as a form of calcium ion existing in bee venom (bee) or gila toxins (heloderma).
Phospholipase A2 induced cell damages manifest as hemolysis, rhabdomyolysis, endothelial cell necrosis, renal tubular damage and nerve damage.
Phospholipase A2 and proteases have an impact upon various levels of haemagglutination, and have a tendency to bleeding. Metalloproteinases cause cytoskeletal destruction, which leads to cellular damage, apoptosis and disintegration. Rattlesnake venom (trimeresurus) contains metalloproteinase which decreases activities of membrane and vascular endothelial cells, is responsible for cellular apoptosis. Putting Brazilian spearhead-cobra venom which contains metalloproteinase into renal cells of Madin-darby, it decomposes cytoskeleton as well as damages the conglutination between cell-stroma.
▪ Changes in hemodynamics. Hemodynamic changes can be caused by toxin or other factors. Hemodynamic changes become significantly, especially in toxins which are rich in enzyme (such as snake venom or bee venom). Both protease and phospholipase A2 can reduce bloodstream to kidneys. Atractaspis engaddensis contains endothelin receptor agonists; it works as a vasoconstrictor similar with endothelin. Bothrops jararaca lowers the blood pressure through restrain angiotensin-converting enzyme. Temporarily hypertension may occur after biting by poisonous snakes.
Snakes such as cobra and adder as well as colubridae can cause renal damages. A report regarding a group with 400 patients who were bitten by the above-mentioned snakes shows that the incidence of proteinuria reaches 4%. A small number of patients have symptoms of nephrotic syndromes. Gross hematuria and microscopic hematuria occur most common; diuresis becomes another symptom in clinic.
People bite by snakes that release myotoxin and hemolytic toxin often occur Acute Renal Failure. The incidence is 5%-29%. Time of onset can range from several hours to even 96 hours. People who have been bitten by oxyuranus may have hemolytic uremic syndrome. Snake bite-induced Acute Renal Failure normally lasts 2 to 3 weeks. Patients with persistent oliguria may accompany with acute interstitial nephritis, acute tubular necrosis or even acute renal cortical necrosis. Snake bite-induced Acute Renal Failure can usually fully recovered unless renal cortical necrosis occurred.
Old people, renal cortical necrosis or those with serious bleeding complications usually have poor prognosis.
Once Acute Renal Failure occurred, early renal replacement treatment should be taken, especially continuous bedside blood purification is the optimal choice. It’s also feasible to take hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis for those without qualified conditions. The earlier the treatment is taken, the better the prognosis will be.
