Can Dialysis Cure Renal Failure
Can Dialysis Cure Renal Failure
Dialysis is a major replacement for End Stage Renal Failure. Dialysis can not cure Renal Failure, but in certain cases it may reverse this condition and retrieve the normal kidney function.
Renal Failure includes Acute Renal Failure and Chronic Renal Failure. Acute Renal Failure refers to the renal function declines suddenly and rapidly in several days and even hours for underlying diseases such as massive haemorrhage, severe infection, dehydration, severe trauma etc. Dialysis can be used to treat Acute Renal Failure until normal kidney function is restored. In this case, Renal Failure is reversible.
Chronic Renal Failure is a progressively developing over years. This type of Renal Failure is usually permanent, and the patients are required to start dialysis when renal function declines to 10~15%. In this case, dialysis is most likely to a long-term treatment and cannot reverse Renal Failure if the patients do not take proper and timely treatment.
Is there any alternative therapy to improve renal function in Chronic Renal Failure?
Renal Failure is attributable to the necrosis and damage of kidney tissues and cells. Therefore, the therapy should focus on restoring the impaired kidney tissues and cells.
Immunotherapy has showed remarkable curative effects in restoring impaired tissues and organs. it improves the curative effects of the disease significantly.
