What Symptoms May You Have When Creatinine Clearance Rate(Ccr) Is Low?

When Creatinine clearance rate is low, it means that there may be something wrong with your kidneys, for kidney disease is the main cause of low creatinine clearance levels. The problem root is glomerulus which is responsible for the filtration of creatinine and other metabolin. When Creatinine clearance rate is low, the possible symptoms include the following:

1. Edema. Edema often occurs in eyelid, ankle, back and buttock, even whole body. When it is severe, it can be accompanied by hydrothorax, ascites and perineal edema.

2. Hypertension. Glomerular disease patients often have high blood pressure. And increasing blood pressure is the signal of aggravation in disease condition.

3. Hematuria. Generally, gross hematuria often means kidney stone or tumor while microscopic hematuria is caused by glomerular disease.

4. Oliguria or anuria. If the urine volume is less than 400ml/24h, it is oliguria and anuria when less than 100ml/24h.

5. Diuresis and frequent nocturnal micturition. It is called diuresis when the urine volume is more than 2500ml/day. It is the symptom when the concentration function of nephridial tubules is insufficient. The nocturnal urine volume should be less than 750ml. Frequent nocturnal micturition also means that the function of nephridial tubules declines.

6. Frequent micturition and odynuria. Frequent micturition means that micturition times increase with less urine volume each time. For healthy people, it should be 4-6 times in the day and 0-2 tines at night.

7. Much foam in urine. If there is much foam in urine, it means that there is much protein in urine.

8. Backache. If there is dull pain in your back, it may mean that you have glomerular disease or lumbar muscle degeneration.

Besides the above symptoms, they may be also accompanied by symptoms like fatigue, anemia, nausea and vomit etc. It may be caused by glomerular disease which has a close relation with Creatinine clearance rate.
